Ivan Moskowitz MD PhD flyer 003As part of the Genetics and Genomics Seminar Series, Ivan Moskowitz, M.D., Ph.D will present “Gene Regulatory Networks in Cardiac Development and Homeostasis.” Dr. Moskowitz is an associate professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Pathology & Human Genetics from the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL. OBJECTIVES: After attending this session, participants should be able to understand:
1. Understand the requirement for cilia-based Hedgehog signaling for cardiac morphogenesis.
2. Understand the requirement for lineage specific transcription factors such as Tbx5 in cardiac morphogenesis.
3. Understand the transcriptional logic regulating cardiac conduction
4. Understand the gene regulatory architecture for cardiac rhythm robustness
