Explore UAB

The Research and Innovation in Medical Education (RIME) summit began at UAB in the Division of General Internal Medicine in 2011. Each year, the program focused on opportunities for fellows and faculty to come together in a conference setting to foster teaching skills, explore curriculum innovation, showcase scholarship, and highlight research findings in medical education for the 21st century.

In addition to break-out sessions, the event was anchored by a keynote presentation from a respected medical educator. The program also offered competitive applications for immersive faculty development funding.

In 2020, the RIME conference found a new home within the UAB Healthcare Educators Academy, a collaborative effort among the Schools of Medicine, Health Professions, Dentistry, and Nursing. Now known as ENRICH (Educational Research & Innovations in Clinical & Health Sciences) week, it is even more inclusive of interprofessional collaboration and scholarship among all health-related fields.
