The UAB Immunology Institute has partnered with the UAB Department of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science (DBIDS), and the UAB Research and Informatics Service Center (RISC), to streamline the way in which UAB investigators access clinical data. This clinical data has been organized into data bundles consisting of pre-mapped/pre-selected variables. Our data bundles can be linked to biologic samples, used to define cohorts for analysis, or support feasibility assessments for future grants and projects. They include pre-selected variables and phenotyped concepts—such as clinical diagnoses, medications, demographics, and laboratory results—that can be further tailored to meet the specific needs of your research.
You may request research data bundles using DataLens, found here: https://datalens.hs.uab.edu/dashboard/Home Log in using your Blazer ID and Blazer password. Once you see the DataLens home page, you can create a data request by clicking the + button (which is just above the text “Welcome, <your name>”) and choosing ‘Data Request’ from the pop-up menu. Be sure to put the name of the bundle you want into the data request title. Fill out the other parts of the data request – such as the description of your cohort - as needed.
