Anne grew up in Birmingham, AL. She attended Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, where she studied physics and met her husband, Drew. She then worked at a local clinic that provided primary care services to uninsured patients, which confirmed her desire to pursue medicine. She returned to Birmingham for medical school, and is excited to continue her training at UAB as a resident. In her free time, Anne likes to cook, hike, and explore Birmingham.
  • Lindsey C. Shipley

Lindsey grew up in Jackson, TN and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for college where she majored in Microbiology and met her husband, Adam. Between college and medical school, she worked as a research coordinator at UT Medical Center and Georgetown University. She ventured back to Tennessee to attend Quillen for medical school. After residency, she is interested in pursuing a career in Gastroenterology. In her free time you can find her spending time with family and friends, exercising in her home gym, or walking her Airedale Terriers, KC and Izzy. She is looking forward to joining the UAB Internal Medicine program, meeting her co-residents and exploring Birmingham.
  • William S. Morgan

Will was born and raised in the suburbs of Jackson, Mississippi. He grew up cheering for his Dad's alma mater (some university in Tuscaloosa, AL), but is now a loyal Bulldog after attending Mississippi State University. After college, he moved back to Jackson to for medical school. Will chose UAB because of the excellent training in addition to a fun and positive program culture. He plans to pursue a career in either cardiology or general internal medicine, and wants to work in academics. He is looking forward to moving to Birmingham and utilizing the hiking trails in the surrounding area to combat his love for trying new restaurants and visiting breweries.
  • Salmaan Z. Kamal

Sal was born in Tuscaloosa, AL. He attended Princeton University, where he developed a strong interest in global health and health policy. Afterwards, he worked as a fellow at a health policy nonprofit in Washington, DC. He intends to pursue a career in general internal medicine, preventive medicine, and health policy. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, playing tennis, NBA basketball, and comic book movies.
