The National Institute of Health awarded COOKS investigators a four-year R01 grant amounting to $2.49 million.

UAB Department of Urology researchers, Ross Holmes, Ph.D., professor, John Knight, Ph.D., associate professor, Sonia Fargue, M.D., Ph.D., assistant professor, Kyle Wood, M.D., assistant professor, and Dean Assimos, professor, will use the grant to examine the formation of oxalate from vitamin C metabolism in kidney stone formers and healthy volunteers.
