UAB is proud to offer an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Neurocritical Care. At UAB, fellows train in a state-of-the-art, 42-bed, dedicated Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which is staffed continuously by two neurointensivist-led multidisciplinary teams. Our program provides a dynamic, collaborative environment where critical care teams work closely with general neurology, vascular neurology, and neurosurgery services to deliver world-class patient care.
Fellows benefit from interacting with a wide range of professionals, including specialists, advanced practice providers, critical care pharmacists, neuroscience nurses, and allied health professionals. UAB offers an exceptional training environment, bolstered by unique institutional strengths:
- Comprehensive patient population: UAB’s large catchment area ensures exposure to all-encompassing cases.
- Level 1 Trauma Center
