Bio

Dr. Stibolt attended the prestigious Indian Springs School before receiving an academic scholarship to Wofford College (Spartanburg, SC), where he studied Finance and began pursuing a career in Financial Technology. After college he initially lived and worked in Boston, MA before returning to Birmingham to attend UAB School of Medicine in 2015. Stibolt was drawn to the field of interventional radiology while doing elective rotations in orthopedic and vascular surgery. He completed his intern year locally at Brookwood Baptist Health, where they say he is a "fan favorite!" Outside of the hospital, he can be found hiking at Oak Mountain State Park with his dog Harvey (malinois) and gradually renovating his house in Hoover.

What do you love most about being a UAB Radiology Resident?

The integrated program at UAB is packed with world class attendings who are not only leaders in their field, but also have a tremendous track record for producing incredibly competent interventional radiologists. The morning didactics, emphasis on graduated autonomy, and array of available resources collectively foster an incredible training environment. Moreover, we have a close-knit group of trainees who frequently spend time with each other outside of work, and because of this camaraderie the work day flies by--even when our service is inundated by advanced oncology referrals and high volume trauma cases.
