Intergrated IR Residency Book and Travel Fund: Discretionary spending

  • Discretionary spending. $6,250.00 is available for use at the resident member’s discretion. This money can be used for books, tools, educational material, and travel to meetings, AIRP travel expenses, and licensing and testing fees.
  • AIRP Tuition. The $1,800 cost of tuition for AIRP will be covered directly by the department for residents that attend the program.
  • Meeting participant funds. Additional funds up to $1,500 will be available to residents, to reimburse expenses related to meetings, travel, lodging, etc. where the requesting resident is an oral scientific presenter or speaker at a qualifying meeting or conference.
  • RADPrimer and StatDx are provided to residents.

Radiology Education & Knowledge Space (REKS): 

Used almost exclusively by our residents, this space contains 6 computers, and a lounge area. It is a great place to read, work on research projects, or chat with fellow residents between mid-day conferences. This area has undergone a major renovation. Moonlighting: The Department of Radiology has a policy outlining moonlighting regulations in the Resident Manual. We allow internal and external moonlighting as outlined in our policy because of the tremendous financial burden facing today's resident but emphasize the need for our residents to have ample time for reading, other Radiology activities, and work-life balance.
