Biography
Dr. Jennifer Pappalardo joined the faculty of the UAB Department of Surgery in 2026. She went to the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, becoming a doctor of podiatric medicine. She then completed the PM&S-36 Surgical Residency Program at Mount Sinai Hospital and the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in Chicago, followed by a Limb Salvage Fellowship Program at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Pappalardo's research focuses on conservative and reconstructive podiatric surgery in amputation prevention, with emphasis on the high-risk diabetic foot, wound healing, and complex lower extremity infections. She is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
