Alumnus receives NPAA 2015 Outstanding Regional Nurse Practitioner Award

AAEAAQAAAAAAAAXwAAAAJDBkM2JhYWU5LTVlNWUtNDdkNy04NmFhLWI4YWI0ZjdmYTkzZQUniversity of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing alumnus Yeow Chye Ng, PhD, FNP-BC, NP-C, AAHIVE, has received the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama (NPAA) 2015 Outstanding Regional Nurse Practitioner Award for North Alabama.

The NPAA awards give recognition to individual health care providers, educators or advocates, the in-the-trenches team members and leaders who inspire, motivate and empower others around them to make a difference in the lives of those for whom they provide care. The NPAA seeks to improve access to safe, high-quality, cost-effective health care for Alabama’s citizens.

Ng is an assistant professor at the University of Alabama of Huntsville (UAH). He earned his PhD from the UAB School of Nursing in 2013.
