Trio of UAB School of Nursing faculty recognized by UAB Center for Teaching and Learning

Weaver Iddins Pair award RTFrom left to right, UAB School of Nursing instructors Lisa Pair, Brenda Iddins and Kendra Weaver proudly display their Effective Teaching Certificates.University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing instructors Brenda Iddins, DNP, CRNP, FNP-BC, Lisa Pair, MSN, CRNP, WHNP-BC, and Kendra Weaver, MSN, CRNP, ACNP-BC, have received the Effective Teaching Certificate from the UAB Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).

Each of them spent the past year attending workshops on various teaching strategies to incorporate into their face-to-face and on-line classrooms.

The CTL is open to all UAB faculty and is focused on supporting excellence in teaching that promotes learning through a commitment to pedagogical best practices, appropriate and effective use of technology and innovative collaboration.

Iddins is a three-time graduate of the UAB School of Nursing where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1985, her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 1987 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2011. Pair and Weaver each received their MSN from the School, Pair in 1992 and Weaver in 2012.
