Bush and Lyndon B. Johnson as part of the scholars program to learn leadership lessons from the former presidents of the United States, key former administration officials and other significant academic leaders.

“As a life-long learner, I look forward to building upon my knowledge base as a Presidential Leadership Scholar,” he said.
Banks earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the UAB School of Nursing in 2009 and 2011, respectively.

In 2012, he received the UAB School of Nursing Young Alumni Merit Award. In addition to his nursing degrees, he also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from UAB.
