Nomination letter cited Patrician for conveying the discipline, zeal and excitement of scientific inquiry to her DNP and PhD students

A University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing faculty member and an alumna of one of the School’s doctoral programs have been inducted as Fellows in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the largest full-service national professional membership organization for nurse practitioners of all specialties.

The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), which holds it annual meeting this week - June 9 through 14 - and the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) both count UAB School of Nursing alumni among its presidential ranks.

As preparations are being made for students in a community health course to travel to the Dominican Republic in Fall 2015, six UAB School of Nursing students that made the last trip are reflecting on their journey and welcoming one of the group’s hosts to campus June 10.
