Lutz Hermann Görgens, the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, will deliver the Belton Y. Cooper Lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 in the UAB Mary Culp Hulsey Recital Hall. Görgens lecture, titled “Germany After the Wall, 1989-2009” will examine the political and cultural transformation of Germany since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
