IRAP at UAB is based on software developed by InfoEd Global, Inc. When the system is fully functional it will support electronic submission of funding applications and compliance forms and will seamlessly connect the operations of the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), Institutional Review Board for Human Use (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), Chemical Safety Committee, Radiation Safety Committee, Conflict of Interest Review Board (CIRB), and the Material Transfer Office (MTO).

Other features of the system provide access to potential collaborators and automated notification of funding opportunities meeting criteria you set.

    [ ! ] Personnel, Contacts/Award Manager, & Delegates

    • Often when personnel changes occur (e.g., reassignments, position changes, retirement, etc.), the personnel remain as delegates, contacts or Department Administrators with org-wide access.
      • This creates a situation where personnel retain access to records and, as a result, inclusion on correspondences that are no longer applicable to their role.
      • We encourage all investigators and department administration to evaluate those who are in these roles and remove/replace them as necessary.
    • To assist with this task, the Personnel with Departmental Access Report is available in the Office of Research E-reports directory to all users.
      • The report provides a list of all personnel with departmental access at Department Admin I, II, III, and Departmental Head role based on the input parameters.
      • If you do not select a specific value for a field, please select ALL to run the report.
      • To locate the report, use the global Search option on the left navigation list and search for the term ‘departmental’.
      • Once located, clicking the heart icon on the lower right corner of the report tile will keep the report available in your Favorites.
    • Instructions for delegation updates are found here.
