The award is given to those who have graduated with the first degree from SHP within the past 10 years and have made significant professional accomplishments at an early stage in their careers.

EMSHA Class 1 graduation, Dec. 2013The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s National Alumni Society has formally recognized the UAB Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Alumni Chapter. The first NAS chapter established in the Middle East includes 31 graduates of Saudi Arabia’s inaugural UAB Executive Master of Science in Health Administration. The chapter is open to any UAB graduate that lives in Saudi Arabia.

UAB Excellence in Business honors PT alumnus Kleinman
When Ron Kleinman, PT, was looking for a college to attend he wrote, that’s correct - he physically wrote, to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and asked for a list of the best Physical Therapy schools in the United States. The APTA wrote back and placed the University of Alabama at Birmingham at the top of the list and Kleinman was soon on his way south from Ohio.
