  • How do I know if I’m eligible to apply for the MS in Nutrition Sciences, Research Track?

    A degree in a recognized field of biological, physical, chemical, agricultural, or engineering science from an accredited University is preferred.

  • Is this a distance-based graduate program?

    No. Though much of the curriculum of the MS in Nutrition Sciences- Research Track is offered online, this graduate program does require some in-person courses and all research hours (NTR 698 and NTR 699, Masters Level Non-Thesis and Thesis Research) must be completed at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

  • What is the cost of the MS in Nutrition Sciences, Research Track?

    For the most up-to-date information on tuition and fees, please visit the Office of Student Financial Aid's Paying for College. Our graduate programs can be found under the “Graduate” tab, within the “Health Professions and Nursing” rows. Please note that there are separate costs for Residents, Non-Residents, and Internet-based distance learning courses. All online curriculum is classified as “Internet-based distance learning courses”, in-person courses and research hours are subject to charging based on Residency classification.

  • Do you offer any scholarships for students?

    There are many scholarship opportunities on UAB's Campus. We recommend students register for the Blazer Scholarship Management and Resource Tool (B-SMART) upon admission to our graduate degree programs to stay up-to-date on new scholarship opportunities.
