Miss UAB gives exceptional performance in the 2017 Miss Alabama Pageant
Miss UAB took home a $1,500 scholarship and a talent award for her exceptional performance in the 2017 Miss Alabama Pageant. 48 contestants competed for the title from June 7-10 at Samford University’s Wright Center, including six contestants who were current or former students of UAB. -
UAB Student Affairs names assistant vice president of Student Experience
Mary Wallace, Ph.D., has been named assistant vice president for Student Experience in the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Wallace has more than 23 years of experience in service to students; most recently serving as associate dean of students and director of Campus Life at Louisiana State University (LSU). Her official start date is July 10, 2017.
