Williams Named to The Pathologist's Power List for 2022
Michael Williams, M.D., M.Sc., Neuropathology fellow with UAB Pathology, has been selected as an honoree for The Pathologist's 2022 Power List, in the category of "First Contact." The list, published by the magazine, is an annual celebration of the great and inspirational minds that underpin the medical laboratory and honors select individuals in six different categories.

Every so often, an idea sparks that has the potential to make a big change. Michael Williams, M.D., M.Sc., Neuropathology Fellow in the UAB Department of Pathology, had one such idea earlier this year when he felt inspired to develop a podcast to highlight diversity in the field of pathology.
Pathology Wins Second Place in 2020 UAB School of Medicine Diversity Fair
On January 31, 2020, the Department of Pathology tied for second place in the School of Medicine's 4th annual Diversity Fair, hosted by the UAB School of Medicine Office for Diversity and Inclusion. The fair took place in North Pavilion Atrium and featured a live international band and cuisine from around the world, courtesy of the UAB Medicine Departments.
Pathology Wins Honorable Mention in 2021 UAB School of Medicine Diversity Fair
This month, the Department of Pathology learned we received an honorable mention ranking in the School of Medicine Office for Diversity & Inclusion's 5th annual Diversity Fair, which was virtual this year. Each department was tasked with creating and submitting a video that represented the diversity of the department. Pathology chose Argentinian empanadas as our featured recipe.
