The Department of Occupational Therapy

The Department of Occupational Therapy offers innovative graduate programs for students interested in becoming occupational therapists or looking to advance their existing occupational therapy careers.The programs in the Department of Occupational Therapy incorporate a hands-on learning approach in the study of comprehensive rehabilitative, preventive, and wellness-oriented approaches designed to improve the lives of clients. The UAB Department of Occupational Therapy offers 2 master's degrees, a low vision rehabilitation graduate certificate, a PhD in Rehabilition Science, and a fast track 3:2 program. Graduates of the OT entry level professional degree post board pass rates consistently above the national average and become experts and leaders in the field. The UAB Occupational Therapy program is ranked 28th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report in its annual "Best Graduate Schools" 2012 edition.
