Glas DurborawGlas is a UAB employee and Certified Safety Professional pursuing his lifelong interest in humanity’s story through UAB’s graduate studies in anthropology. His interests include eastern Mediterranean and Fertile Crescent archaeology, folkloristic ethnographies, and studies on cross-cultural conflict resolution.  As an Army veteran with an interest in finding ways to break Kilcullen's "Accidental Guerrilla" escalation cycle, Glas has a strong interest in peacekeeping, peacemaking, and peacebuilding architectures that prevent wars and improve quality of life by addressing the three aspects of Galtung's violence triangle (direct, structural, and cultural or symbolic violence).  UAB’s Anthropology of Peace and Human Rights program provides a useful framework for his interests both past and present.
