Research Interests

Dr. Jieyang Chen's primary area of research is high performance computing, focusing on managing, analysis, and visualization of large scale data. In particular, he has interests in accelerating computational scientific research using a range of techniques encompassing scientific data compression, high dimensional data visualization, large-scale data management and computational accelerators. More broadly, his research interests include large data compression algorithms, parallel I/O, GPU computing, in-situ analytics and visualization, and progressive data exploration.
