Graduate Programs

The Department of Computer Science is looking for motivated and talented students ready to advance their knowledge, talents, and careers. Our master's and doctoral programs produce outstanding graduates who have gone on to careers in internationally known companies and universities.

Our fields of specialization reflect the interests of our excellent faculty, including big data analytics, computer security and forensics, advanced cyber infrastructures, artificial intelligence, data mining, bioinformatics, computer graphics, distributed and parallel computing, cloud computing, object-oriented technology, and software engineering. Our mission encompasses:

Research

Our research objective is to advance the frontiers of the computer science field. Research directions are shaped, not only by the interests and expertise of the faculty, but by interdisciplinary collaboration partnerships within the campus community.

Education

Our education mission includes providing opportunities for graduate study at both the M.S. and Ph.D. levels. The M.S. program serves both as a terminal degree for those interested in advanced study for use in business and industry as well as an entryway into the Ph.D. program. The Ph.D. program provides opportunities to develop new knowledge in the field â€” opportunities that, in some cases, grow out of a perceived need by those in another discipline or campus research group.
