Finding Your Path

In the UAB School of Education and Human Sciences, we strive to empower students to become agents of positive change in their communities. Why did you choose UAB?

I was a transfer student, so I knew whenever I left my first college, UAB was meant to be the college I go to.

Why did you choose your major?

I chose Elementary Education so I can be able to teach young children and for them to become the best they can be.

What is your favorite thing about the UAB School of Education and Human Sciences?

I love the environment and how close everyone is. It’s almost like having a family away from home.

What class have you enjoyed the most so far at UAB?

I really enjoy psychology and the special education classes!

What is your favorite place to study on or off campus

I really enjoy Hill Center with my friends!

What piece of advice would you give a prospective SOEHS student?

Make friends with the people in your classes! Because most likely you’ll have them in every single class after your freshman year!

What are your plans after you graduate from UAB?

I plan on getting my masters in Special Education.
