Neil Kelly, Exercise Medicine, Primary Mentor: Dr. Marcas Bamman

Before becoming a Pathobiology and Rehabilitation Medicine T32 trainee, I received my B.S. and M.A. degrees in Exercise Science from The College of New Jersey and University of Connecticut, respectively. I came to UAB to expand my understanding of muscle physiology by capitalizing on Dr. Bamman’s unique research program which centers on human muscle biopsies. I am currently studying the effects of aging and exercise on myofiber grouping and neuromuscular junction stability.
