UAB Undergraduate Immunology Program (UIP) is America’s only undergraduate major in Immunology. In this unique program students in this program have the opportunity to delve deep into the immune system and learn how the cells and tissues of the immune system can, when functioning properly, protect the body from invading pathogens and cancers but, when not in balance, can cause immune dysregulation and disease. UIP students can join immunology labs at UAB and apply their knowledge to real world problems and key scientific questions.
