Undergraduate Students
If you are an undergraduate student interested in gaining research experience and are willing to put in a minimum of 15 hours per week in laboratory research time, the Deshane lab might be a good fit for you. We emphasize both basic and translational research in our laboratory. Previous undergraduate students from the undergraduate Biology Honors and MS in Biotechnology Program have contributed to our research. Students from the Early Medical School Program are encouraged to participate. Projects can be tailored specifically to fit with the undergraduate curriculum. If you are interested in working in the Deshane Lab, please contact Dr. Deshane at treena@uab.edu.
