Moozhan Nikpanah, M.D. earned her M.D. degree from Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) and completed her general surgery internship at Dartmouth Health. Prior to residency, she served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Radiology and Imaging Sciences, where she was avidly involved in multiple clinical trials as an associate investigator - work that resulted in over 30 peer-reviewed publications. She continues research collaborations with the NIH while in residency. She is passionate about enhancing medical education, promoting inclusion and diversity, as well as advocating for increased female representation in medicine. She currently leads the American Association of Women in Radiology (AAWR) Medical Student Outreach Subcommittee and the Radiologists for a Sustainable Future (Rads4SF) Education Team. She was selected to serve as a member of the trainee editorial board of the RadioGraphics journal in 2022-2023. Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, nature photography, and playing the piano.
