Works by University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Professor Erin Wright, M.F.A., have been featured recently in international poster exhibitions in Colorado and Bolivia. Wright is chair of the UAB Department of Art and Art History.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Works by University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) , have been featured recently in international poster exhibitions in Colorado and Bolivia. Wright is chair of the UAB Department of Art and Art History.

Wright was invited to participate in the 16th Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition, the only exhibition of its kind in the United States. The exhibition, which features 82 works by 28 artists reflecting international perspectives on political, social and cultural issues, aims to exhibit and interpret poster design, showcase examples of visual communication to an American audience and promote international understanding and dialogue through the graphic arts. The posters will be exhibited at Colorado State University through Dec. 22.

Works by Wright also were selected for the Third International Biennial of the Poster in Bolivia. The exhibition, which took place at Jardines Interiores del Museo San Francisco, ended Dec. 3. Works by more than 150 artists were featured.
