Education:

Dr. Logan was raised in Oxford, Alabama and has always had a passion for serving others. She graduated from Auburn University with a bachelors in biomedical science and received her Doctor of Optometry from the UAB School of Optometry in 2018. She then went on to complete a Primary Care residency at the Salem Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Salem, Virgina. She joined faculty at the UAB School of Optometry in 2019 and is an Assistant Professor. 

Dr. Logan course masters the Assessment of Systemic Disease course. This course focuses on how systemic disease correlates to the eye and integrates interdisciplinary care of patients. She also is co-course master for the Systemic Pharmacology course and an instructor in Clinical Evaluation of the Visual System. She sees patients in the Ocular Disease and Primary Care clinical services at UAB Eye Care. She serves on the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice Committee and is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Logan has published articles in Clinical Optometry, Contact Lens and Anterior Eye, Clinical and Experimental Optometry, Optometry and Vision Science and Optometry Times. 

Outside of teaching and seeing patients, Dr. Logan enjoys spending time with her husband and son, gardening, making baked goods with her sourdough starter, and going to the Farmer's market.
