The UA Board of Trustees, meeting June 16 in Tuscaloosa, appointed eight persons to the status of emeriti faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). They are:

William A. Bradley, a UAB faculty member since 1988, professor emeritus of medicine.

Anton J. Bueschen, who joined the UAB faculty in 1973, professor emeritus of surgery.

Nancy Washington Clemmons, a UAB faculty member since 1977, professor emerita of the Lister Hill Library of the Health Sciences.

W. Ronald Clemmons, who joined the UAB faculty in 1973, professor emeritus of music theory and composition.

Gerald M. Fuller, Ph.D., a UAB faculty member since 1986, professor emeritus of cell biology.

Sandra Hanson Gianturco, who joined the UAB faculty in 1988, professor emerita of medicine.

Earl R. Kern,  a UAB faculty member since 1988, research professor emeritus of pediatrics.

Dan W. Urry,  who joined the UAB faculty in 1970, professor emeritus of biochemistry and molecular genetics.
