Braxton Setzer and Tim Waits of UAB’s Club Fishing Team pose with part of their first-day catch at the 2008 Boat U.S. National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship in Lewisville, Texas, earlier this month. The UAB duo was in fifth place after the first day of competition, catching 15.15 pounds. Setzer and Waits finished the tournament No. 10 out of 102 teams. “It was quite a nice finish,” says Adam Vines, advisor for the team.
