    The University-Wide Interdisciplinary Research Center (UWIRC) program serves to catalyze cross-cutting research and discovery, adding to the generation of new scientific knowledge and its applications to benefit society. UWIRCs provide an excellent opportunity to promote multidisciplinary, cross-unit collaborations and cross-disciplinary scholarship, which in turn enhance research productivity and competitiveness for future research funding. The RDO oversees the UWIRC selection process and funding cycles that enable center operations.

  • CCTS Partner Network and SHARe
    The Center for Clinical and Translational Science maintains partnerships with regional institutions to advance clinical and translational research through the CCTS Partner Network. The Partner Network crosses institutional boundaries to promote unique research opportunities and advance scientific findings that benefit communities in the Deep South. The Southeast Health Alliance for Research (SHARe) is a 14-member consortium that leverages the strengths of the Partner network to develop a truly transformational research enterprise for multisite studies and clinical trials in the Deep South.

  • NCATS Trial Innovation Network
    The Trial Innovation Network (TIN) is a collaborative initiative within the CCTS and is composed of three key partners – the CTSA Program Hubs, the Trial Innovation Centers (TICs), and the Recruitment Innovation Center (RIC). The vision for the TIN is to innovatively address critical roadblocks in clinical research and accelerate the translation of novel interventions into life-saving therapies. The Trial Innovation Network offers investigators the opportunity to request consultations and resources for multicenter clinical trials and studies. To request an initial consultation with TIN, please reach out to the RDO for a referral.
