Admission to the Master of Science in Healthcare Simulation program is based upon a solid academic foundation, a strong desire to impact the field of healthcare simulation, and faculty interviews.

The GRE nor GMAT is not required for admission.

Application Deadline

Students are admitted in the fall semester of each year. The deadline for admission is July 1. After July 1, applicants will be considered on a space available basis.

The admissions committee will begin reviewing completing applications February.

Official transcripts from each institution where college credit was received can be mailed to:

  • Complete the online application. The application includes the submission of your current resume, personal statement, and three letters of professional recommendation.
    • Letters of Recommendation: The online system will require you to enter the names and email addresses for all three recommenders. The system will send each individual an email with a link to the online recommendation form.
  • Submit transcripts from all universities previously attended (including those from which you did not earn a degree).
    • Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded into the online application system for the admission review process. However, if admitted, you will be required to submit official transcripts from the issuing university to UAB.
  • International students may be required to submit recent scores from an English Proficiency Exam.
  • Submit the application fee.
