Cohort Model
Our cohort model means you will be with the same classmates the entire time you are on campus. But more than that - you will be connected for the rest of your careers. You will start your career with a built-in peer network and together, as you each advance, you will change the landscape of how healthcare is delivered. Meet our students.
Applied Learning
During your time in the MSHA Program, you will experience “real world” exposure from the start. Beginning in the first semester, you will work in the UAB Health System as part of the Student Workforce initiative. You may also complete an internship the first summer and after completing your classes, you will launch your career with the administrative residency. Learn about the Administrative Residency.
Expand Your Degree
Students who would like to gain additional skills while completing the residential MSHA program may participate in a dual degree program by completing the MSHA with a Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Health Informatics, or Master of Public Health program. Students may also take additional coursework to earn a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Financial Management. Learn more about these programs.
