Schedule an Appointment

You can schedule an appointment to meet with a UAB Career center team member. Log into Handshake and select the "Career Center" tab. Then click the "Appointments" box to get started.



Walk-In/Drop-In

The UAB Career Center offers a virtual “walk-in/drop-in” service available to UAB students without an appointment. The virtual walk-in/drop-in hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on a first come, first served basis. Click the yellow box below to access the walk-in/drop-in service via Zoom.



Cancellation and No-Show Policy
for Scheduled Appointments

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify our office 24 hours in advance. This allows our staff to offer your appointment time to another student, who is in need of our services. Failure to cancel your appointment within 24 hours, more than once, will result in losing your appointment privileges for the semester; however, you may still utilize our drop-in services.

Brand Your Company

Build out your company’s profile including a 200x200px image of your company’s logo!

Students can follow your company and get notifications when you post internship opportunities, when you post job openings, and when you are coming to campus to recruit and meet students.

A complete profile attracts much more attention than an empty one. All of this is managed on the My Profile page of your HireABlazer account.

Post an Internship or Job Opening

Please be sure to following these steps:

  • Enter your job or internship opportunity then hit the Submit button
  • Click Save at the bottom of the page when you are finished
  • Watch for an email from our employer relations team indicating that your posting has been approved and published to the UAB student community (guaranteed within 24 business hours)

On-Campus Interview Program

UAB provides employers the opportunity to interview UAB students and alumni on campus by providing interview rooms at the Hill Student Center.

How do I schedule interview dates?

Please email your interest in scheduling and On-Campus Interview with UAB students to ckennon@uab.edu or careerservices@uab.edu. The UAB Career Center will work with each employer to ensure the optimal dates and times are secured for your recruiting needs.

Who manages my interview schedule?

The employer is able to manage their own interview schedule with assistance from the UAB Career Center based on their recruitment needs. Interviewing UAB students on campus saves time and resources. The UAB Career Canter will provide each employer with personalized attention and help you make the most of your time.
