Students have multiple transportation options to Legion Field this football season, including a free shuttle from campus and free parking with their student ONE Card. Ridesharing applications Lyft and Uber are also available in the Birmingham area.

Ride the free UAB shuttle

The gameday shuttle service is the quickest and easiest way for student Blazers to get to Legion Field. Pickup is on the west side of the Hill Student Center starting four hours prior to kickoff. The bus will drop off at Legion Field at the corner of Graymont Avenue and 6th Street West. Return rides begin during the third quarter and run until 1 hour after the conclusion of the game.

Depending on traffic, will run approximately every 20-30 minutes while in service and seating is first-come, first-served.

Park in Legion Field’s complimentary student lot

All students with a valid UAB ONE Card can park their cars for free on the east side of Legion Field along Graymont Avenue in the free student lot, which opens four hours prior to kickoff and must be vacated 30 minutes after the conclusion of each game.

Students who want to tailgate can reserve one of a limited number of tailgate spaces at Legion Field starting Tuesday mornings before each gameday.

Take a Lyft or Uber

Students can download the Lyft app, available in both the App Store or Google Play Store, or the Uber app, which also works on both iOS and Android, to their smartphones and request a ride from a nearby driver. Students who take trips together can split fares for a cost-saving option.
