  • Are the residence halls coed?
All of the residence halls are coed, however, suites are gender-specific.
  • Do the residence halls have internet access?
Apogee provides WiFi and wired internet connection for each room.
  • What should I bring?
We want your residence hall to feel like home—but a smaller kind of home, one that is also home to other people. Since you will be sharing a common space with one or three roommates, you might want to hold off on purchasing kitchen and common-area items until you have talked with them. You will have limited closet, dresser, and floor space. Take a tour of the room before moving in your winter wardrobe and 52” TV. See our complete list of what is and is not allowed in the residence halls.
  • What size are the beds?
Twin XL. Bedding sets can be found though Our Campus Market.
  • What are the guidelines on room decorations?
This is your home away from home, so make it as comfortable as possible. If you are hanging things on the wall, we recommend white putty or removable adhesive. Nail and pin holes are NOT allowed. Sometimes products damage walls, even when they advertise otherwise. Any damage to the room will result in charges. You are allowed to bring personal furniture but not allowed to remove university furniture, so your space is limited. Note: Your RA will conduct Health & Safety Inspections once a month.
  • Are pets allowed?
    Pets are not allowed.
If you are registered with Disability Support Services, please see the Guidelines for Students Utilizing Service and Assistance Animals.
  • What is the visitation policy?
We allow visitors 24/7, and you can have up to 4 overnight guests a month. Guests must be checked in by a student residing in the hall. For an overnight guest, you must complete an overnight guest form at the front desk and have permission from all your roommates. Privacy and rights of roommates takes precedence over the visitation guidelines.
  • What if I have an under-age guest?
For the safety and security of small children and the privacy of the residents, persons under the age of 16 are only permitted in the residence halls for a maximum of 4 hours between the hours of 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM. All underage guests must be accompanied and supervised by a nonresident parent or guardian for the duration of their visit. If a resident is planning to have an underage guest, they must fill out the Underage Guest Form. Residents can fill out this form at the front desk of their respective residence hall. The Underage Guest Form should be completed and approved prior to the underage guest’s arrival, when practical. Under no circumstances will an underage guest be permitted to stay overnight in the residence halls. The parent or guardian of an underage guest may request an extension of the hours or time limitations for visits by contacting the Director of Student Housing and Residence Life in advance of the visit. Such requests will be granted only in limited circumstances, based on the need and reason for the visit.
  • What about security in the Hall?
To ensure a safe living-learning community, each resident must show his/her ONE Card with their building sticker each time they enter the residence hall to verify that they live in the building. We also require students to sign in ALL guests at the front desk and sign out guests when they leave. Guests must be escorted at all times and cannot be left unattended. There will be someone working the desk 24/7. Exterior doors to the building remain locked at all times.
