SYE Welcome Back Bash
You concurred your first year and had a long and exciting summer! Reunite with your friends and meet some new ones at the Welcome Back Bash. This event is the official welcome for students entering the second-year at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. The Welcome Back Bash pulls together various campus and academic partners, programs, and engagement opportunities to create a holistic experience for second-year students at UAB. Students enjoy free food, music, and door prizes as they learn about all the resources that can assist them in navigating their second-year at the institution.
SYE End of Semester Social
Wrap up the fall semester and celebrate at the SYE End of the Semester Social! Come enjoy free food, attend an awards ceremony, and have some fun!
FYE/SYE Send-Off
First-Year students! This event is for you! In collaboration with the UAB Office of First-Year Experience, all first-year students are invited to this event. Celebrate the completion of your first year in college and let us welcome you into your Second Year Experience! This event includes a free cookout, games, activities, and give-away items.
SYE Half -Way-There Celebration
You have made it to the halfway point! Congratulate yourself and your peers as we honor this milestone. The Halfway There Celebration is a unique event that welcomes UAB second-year students to come out and commemorate reaching the halfway mark to graduation. Come out and enjoy free food and fellowship with other second-year students before the end of the year. The first hundred students or so will receive a Class of 20XX lapel pin.
