All UAB employees are required to complete Building Supportive Communities: Clery Act and Title IX, an online training course available through UAB’s Campus Learning System. The course provides essential information about the Clery Act and Title IX, including how to recognize, respond to, and report sex-based discrimination and harassment. Employees will also practice identifying signs that someone may be experiencing abuse or violence and learn how to respond in a supportive manner. The training emphasizes reporting responsibilities, available supportive measures, and the shared role all employees play in fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive campus community

Faculty & Staff Training

The Title IX Office offers individualized training and consultation for faculty and staff on reporting obligations, navigating pregnancy in the classroom and the workplace, and other topics related to ensuring a community where all people feel safe and supported.

Responsible Reporting Officials

Title IX requires training on sex discrimination and sex‑based harassment for all Responsible Reporting Officials. Responsible Reporting Officials are required to notify the Title IX Coordinator if, in the course of their employment, they receive a Report of Prohibited Conduct.
