Sherrie AlexanderSherrie is currently working under the mentorship of Dr. Cormier while focusing on the area of ethnoprimatology. She spent last summer in Morocco where she began conducting her thesis research on the relationship between the endangered Barbary macaque and the people of Northern Morocco.

This research was conducted with the help of a Moroccan primate conservation NGO, Barbary Macaque Awareness and Conservation (BMAC). Since then, Sherrie has been asked to act as the US representative for their organization, and she hopes to continue researching in Morocco as well as volunteering for BMAC.
