Elena Kravchuk was born in Ukraine. She received her M.S. from Donetsk State University, and Ph.D. from the Institute for Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences. Dr. Kravchuk joined the Department of Mathematics at UAB in 2002. She teaches courses in PreCalculus, Calculus and Statistics level using various teaching methods and approaches, ranging from classical classroom to online courses.

  • Research Interests

    Real and complex analysis and applications; approximation theory; neural networks and genetic algorithms; new educational technologies that extend, connect, and expand math teaching and learning experience.
