Students currently enrolled full-time in community college are invited to participate in Marching Band. Prospective students must (1) audition, (2) be admitted to the university, and (3) enroll in the Marching Blazers course (MUP 232) to participate.


May 15: Audition
July 15: Admission as a Transient student
August 1: Enroll in Marching Blazers (MUP 232)

Admission as a Transient Student

  • Apply for admission to UAB as a Transient student
  • Submit a Transient Permission form or Letter of Good Standing from the community college you are attending
    • If you are applying during your first term of enrollment at the community college, you may substitute an Enrollment Verification form from your institution.

Students are responsible for adhering to the UAB Student Conduct Code, UAB Marching Band policies, and all required tuition payment deadlines.
