Fast Facts

  • Spanish is the nation's second most common language (U.S. Census Bureau).
  • Undergraduates can earn this certificate—or they may consider the Spanish for Business minor.

About the Program

More than 40 million people in America speak Spanish, and, chances are, you come across the language every day. With this certificate, you'll learn how to interact with Spanish speakers in your job, whether you're in education, law enforcement, or anything else.

Because Spanish is so prevalent in our society, we tailored our program to help you become more successful whenever the language is required in your career. We'll teach you about vocabulary, language, and culture with courses such as Spanish for Health Professions, Business Spanish, and Translation and Interpretation. To enhance your experience, we'll want you to get an internship and even study abroad. In the end, we want you to have the linguistic and cultural background you need to function in professional health- and business-related worlds. You'll also have a certificate that'll be recorded on your permanent transcript.
