Shandra Coble, D.M.D., joins the 2023-2024 Blaze Leadership Academy cohort.

Dr. Coble is currently Assistant Professor and Director of Predoctoral Endodontics, and Clinical Director in the Department of Endodontics. In addition to serving on numerous School of Dentistry committees, she is the Alabama Dental Board Liaison and the school’s Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Among her service to the University, Dr. Coble is a UAB Faculty Senator and currently serves on the UAB DEIC and has served on the Faculty Development Committee. She is engaged in organized dentistry through the Alabama Dental Association (ALDA) Membership Committee and several committees of the American Dental Association.

Blaze Leadership Academy is a flagship program of the UAB Learning and Development Office. Designed to develop high-potential faculty and staff leaders who wish to grow and contribute more to UAB. The program includes developmental assessments, opportunities to build relationships with colleagues across UAB, and learning experiences centered around UAB Shared Values and Leadership Expectations.

The program kicked off in October and Dr. Coble looks forward to her experience.
