Each building at UAB should have a Building Disaster Plan that addresses such scenarios as fire, bomb threat, loss of electrical power and severe weather. To protect yourself and others, you should familiarize yourself with your unit's safety plan before danger arises.
That includes:
- A thorough knowledge of the proper safety rules to be followed
- Selections and designation of the best shelter you have
- A reliable method of receiving information
- Drills to test and practice the plan
