Career Wise is a five-part program to help you navigate UAB, clarify your career goals and objectives and build a support system to help you succeed. UAB culture, values and structure will set the stage for personal goal setting and assessment. The program includes discussion of UAB culture, values and structure as well as a StrengthsFinder assessment, mentoring, networking and resources. Participants will benefit from focused attention on personal development and success at UAB. Take charge of your career so you can continue to be fulfilled and add value to the University.

Overview of the organization of UAB and career management panel discussion. - 2. Self-Directed Career Planning
Overview of career planning including identifying your strengths, gaps and goals. Participants will take the StrengthsFinder assessment as part of this module. - 3. Phone Coaching (optional)
Via phone. Optional, confidential goal setting and action planning session. - 4. Mentoring | Coaching (webinar)
Learn how to make the most of a mentoring or coaching relationship. - 5. Building Your Support System
