Koopman Scholars Timothy Jason Fernandez, Kristin Olson and Ynhi Thai will each present their research at the February 23, 2015 Clinical Research Seminar at 12:00 noon in the West Pavilion Conference Center room E.
Fernandez will present "A novel method for quantifying chaperone protein activity using nugent isothermal titration calorimetry", with Olson presenting "Correlation of score with vaginal symptomatology among sexual risk behavior groups of women", and Thai presenting "Obesity and social networks: Is it gendered?"
The Koopman Scholars are recipients of the Koopman Medical Student Research Excellence Award. They are MD and MD/MPH candidates for the class of 2017. The Clinical Research Seminar is a one hour seminar where junior and senior faculty at UAB present their clinical research findings to the residents, fellows and faculty of the Department of Medicine.
