Why I Chose UAB:

I chose UAB because of the tremendous opportunities offered and the incredible people within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The orthopedic faculty are eager to help their research fellows take part in a variety of high-quality research and also serve as great mentors for career development. I have been fortunate enough to be engaged in the operating rooms and clinics on a consistent basis to continue learning orthopedics from the residents and faculty that love to teach. Everyone in the department has been so welcoming, personable, and fun to work with, and I cannot imagine doing my research year anywhere other than UAB!
