White attended a session at the 2019 SRAI annual conference led by two Johns Hopkins employees concerning their internal grant review program. She applied for the RAMP grant which required a budget, statement about personal development, statement of need, and letters of support from her supervisor and host institution. She will be staying at Johns Hopkins for one week at a date in the future to learn about their internal grant review program with the goal of implementing it in the Department of Pathology. Her goal is to improve UAB Pathology's success rate with NIH grants, which would lead to a higher NIH ranking according to Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research. Hopkins' Department of Pathology has ranked number one in the Blue Ridge NIH ranking for the past several years.

White has been on staff at UAB for the past 14 years and has been part of the UAB Pathology Administrative Staff since August 2018.
